As part of Historic Environment Scotland’s (HES) Historic Summer campaign, UK residents can enjoy 20% off admission to selected Historic Scotland sites from June 26 to September 1.
The discounted entry applies to a range of historic sites, including some of the most iconic in the country.
Among them are Stirling Castle, once the seat of royal power for Scottish monarchs; Fort George, an imposing coastal fort near Inverness that has served the British Army for nearly 250 years; and Melrose Abbey in the Scottish Borders, said to be the resting place of the heart of Robert the Bruce and home to its own bagpiping pig statue.
Other participating sites include Dumbarton Castle, Arbroath Abbey, Castle Campbell, Caerlaverock Castle, Dunstaffnage Castle, Hermitage Castle, Huntly Castle, Iona Abbey, Linlithgow Palace, Skara Brae and Tantallon Castle.

The offer is designed to encourage families and individuals to explore more of Scotland’s heritage, whether revisiting familiar sites or discovering new ones further afield.
Olivia Devine, senior marketing manager at HES, said: “Summer is a wonderful time to visit our sites across Scotland, and we want as many people to enjoy them as possible.
“We hope the offer will encourage people to rediscover their local landmarks or travel somewhere they haven’t been before.
“We have such rich history at our fingertips in Scotland, and many of our sites can be found within some of the most beautiful landscapes the country has to offer.
“Historic Summer will allow people and families to make new memories in wonderful places!”
Historic Summer tickets are limited and must be booked online at historicsummer.scot.
